Lost for Words? Let Copilot Draft for You
Microsoft is rolling out an exciting new feature in its Edge browser that could make your life – and your team’s – much simpler. ‘Draft with Copilot’ is an AI-driven tool that can instantly generate text on any topic you need.
When you’re using Edge and find yourself facing an empty text box (whether it’s an email body or a comment section), simply right-click. You’ll see the option, ‘Draft with Copilot.’
Select it, and a window will appear. Input your desired topic or subject, press ‘Generate,’ and watch Copilot work its magic. Within moments, you’ll have a draft on your chosen topic.
You can also customise the tone and length of the generated text to match your needs. Whether you want it more formal or relaxed, longer or shorter, Copilot adapts easily.
We all know time is valuable. ‘Draft with Copilot’ can help save both time and money. Think about how much time your staff spends drafting everyday content. With Copilot, whipping up a quick email or crafting a social media post becomes much more efficient.
Copilot doesn’t just speed up writing; it also ensures the text is grammatically sound and well-structured, which is particularly handy if English isn’t your first language.
At the moment, this feature is only available in US English, but Microsoft is actively working to introduce more language options.
One thing to keep in mind: it’s essential to review what Copilot produces. AI-generated text can sometimes come across as generic, so adding your own personal touch or including specific details will make it more engaging.
Currently, this feature is available in the Edge Canary preview build as Microsoft continues refining it.
With Copilot being integrated into more Windows apps, AI tools are becoming increasingly accessible and versatile across multiple platforms. The future certainly holds even more AI-driven features to make our digital lives easier.
