Microsoft Teams rolls out fixes you’ve been waiting for
Microsoft finally addresses these long‑standing Teams frustrations
If there’s one thing that can derail your focus on a busy workday, it’s a messaging app that doesn’t do what you expect.
Microsoft Teams is a brilliant tool relied on by millions, keeping businesses connected and conversations moving — especially for medium‑sized South African organisations. But even its strongest fans will admit that a few small yet irritating quirks have caused unnecessary friction for far too long.
Fortunately, Microsoft has finally taken note.
Based on continuous user feedback, Teams is receiving several quality‑of‑life improvements — and two of the most requested fixes are now being rolled out.
One of the standout updates might seem simple, but it will make a big difference: you’ll soon be able to choose what your Enter key actually does.
We’ve all hit Enter intending to start a new paragraph, only to send an incomplete message. It’s almost muscle memory at this point. With this update, you’ll now have the choice to use Enter for a new line rather than sending the message straight away.
Another long‑awaited fix is also arriving: the ability to forward multiple messages at once.
Previously, Teams only allowed you to forward a single message, which made sharing context or relaying a full discussion slow and clumsy. Soon, you’ll be able to select and forward up to five messages from any chat or channel in one action.
Both improvements are currently being rolled out.
While these may seem like minor tweaks, they remove friction from dozens of small moments — moments that matter when Teams is at the centre of your daily operations.
